मारुती चितमपल्ली   5नोव्हेंबर 1932-18जून 2025 जन्म : सोलापूर येथे  अरुण्यऋषी म्हणतात. वनखात्यात 36 वर्षे उत्तराधिकारी. त्यांच्या रातवा या पुस्तकाला 1993-94  साली राज्य शासनाचा साहित्य पुरस्कार मिळाला आहे.   2006 मध्ये येथे झालेल्या 83 व्या अखिल भारतीय मराठी साहित्य संमेलनाचे अध्यक्ष राहिले होते. त्यांना 2025 वर्षाचा पद्मश्री पुरस्कार मिळाला  30एप्रिल 2025. 13 भाषांचे ज्ञान होते. त्याद्वारे आदिवासी व इतर जमान्तीशी संवाद साधत त्यांनी पर्यावरण संबंधित माहिती मिळवली.
